Jyothikshethram is the embodiment of the divine vision of Jagadguru Swami Satyananda Saraswathy Thiruvadikal during the conduct of the unique and divine Aradhana in Sree Rama Dasa Ashsram. During the Aradhana, Swamiji visualizes all seven worlds (Saptha Lokas) in His Divinity. Here, the Jyothikshethram is considered an embodiment of divine grace and celestial harmony. It stands as a testament to the timeless wisdom and spiritual legacy of the revered Brahmashree Neelakanta Gurupadar. Crafted as a celestial abode, it symbolizes the sacred journey of the soul through the seven realms, mirroring the transcendental vision bestowed upon Swamiji during sacred Aradhana. Jagadguru Swami Satyananda Saraswathy Thrippadangal started the construction of Jyothikshethram as a shrine, which commemorates the birth centenary of Brahmasree Neelakanta Gurupadar.
Long before its completion itself, the Jyothikshethram attracted devotees from far and wide, resonating with the sacred chants and invocations during the momentous Shatakodi Sree Lalitha Sahasranama Archana, which started on January 4th, 2000 CE. For 215 consecutive days, the shrine pulsated with divine energy as devotees immersed themselves in devotion, their hearts aglow with reverence.
At Sree Rama Dasa Mission (SRDM), the spiritual calendar is enriched with numerous sacred events that reflect the deep-rooted traditions and spiritual practices of our Ashram. Each event is an opportunity for devotees to come together, celebrate, and reaffirm their faith.
